SILVER DIVA

It's been a good week since I've blogged and I've been very busy.

I have got back together with my boyfriend, that's good news and also

...

dyed my hair silver! Oh my god! I love it, it's been such hard work, used 3 boxes of hair dye and a lovely purple shampoo called touch of silver...

I also dyed my boyfriends hair purple! Just some fun summer time antics! Loved getting back to my punky roots, although I've never dyed my hair I've always wanted to so it was very very exciting!

Here's the best picture I've got so far, but I'll keep you up dated!

Peace out home boys xxxxxx

A blast from the past

My 1960's inspired photos from my gcse photography exam.

I promised you guys I would show you some of my photos I took for my photography exam and I'm showing you the photoshoot's inspired by the 1960's because they were the photos I enjoyed taking the most!

I also made a video to go with the photographs, as the weeks progressed the video became like a short film with a love as the main vibe through the whole of the project including the photos. I adore the photo above, these were two of my bestfriends and I made the act as if they were in a relationship together. I love the naturalness of it and the smiles! The colours are classic and faded like a 1960's photography also which just keeps the theme throughout.

Hope you like, don't forget to check out my other work at kbrillphotography.foliohd.com

I'll let you in on a little secret

Basically, I'm a shopaholic!
I have myself a little job at a pretty place called 'The Dairy'. It's part of Waddesdon Manor and they hold events such as weddings, which I do the waitressing for: along with a team of six other people.

I get paid well and do long shifts (normally 12 to 14 hours).

On my phone I have downloaded two highly addictive apps called - 'Topshop' and 'River island'. You probably recognise these names and know that these are basically online shopping apps.

See I became addicted to shopping when I started asking for money as birthday and Christmas presents. I then started earning money and I just can not stop.

I like to find myself a good bargain such as these red trainers in the river island sale for £10

It's an awful habit really, the other day I spent £100 from my own bedroom on only three items.

However, there is more of a satisfaction to shopping when I know that I have earned it and waited till payday to receive my money. So currently as I'm only 16, I think it is okay to treat myself to nice clothes, shoes and accessories.

I have recently got a new wardrobe as well, so I'm super excited to hang all my pretty little rewards (the clothes) in my wardrobe.

61 items in there currently and counting. (I ran out of hangers)

Well there got go that's my little secret I have shared with you - I'm a shopaholic.

Don't judge me, Katie. X

Outfit of the day

Here is me being vain, hey!

This is my outfit of the day! I love it. I don't usually wear leggings so I'm so shocked by myself. I brought these for myself two weeks ago and oh my, they are so comfy! They are from missguided.com and good quality for a brilliant price of £20! I guess their real name is 'disco pants' but that basically implies they are leggings. I have paired it with this very bright yellow cami top from Topshop, I brought it from the stores app, I highly recommend the app it glitches every now and then but so much easier when shopping on your phone.

I've got a very relaxed make up look today!

Mascara: the colossal volum' express by maybelline.

Eyeshadow: Estée Lauder deluxe pure color eyeshadow palette.

Accessories

This silver triangle necklace was a very reasonable £10 from Topshop also! I have worn it with nearly every outfit since I got it! I love silver jewellery, the phase of gold jewellery is going out of fashion now and silver is coming back! I am very happy about this!

Hope you like this outfit as much as I do!

Enjoy, Katie. X

Authors - John Green

I've been reading John Green's book 'Looking for Alaska' it's quite a good book with a very surprising climax. I'm over half way through, very close to finishing and I've really enjoyed reading his work.

He has become very popular recently with other books such as 'A fault in our stars' AND 'Paper Planes'. His writing appeals to all ages with different characters ranging from school teenagers to adults.

I have recently brought another one of his books called 'Will Grayson, Will Grayson' which is written by him and another author and they both take on the role of each Will Grayson.

I would really recommend to anyone looking for a good summer book to pick up a John Green one. They are highly regarded because he is an award-winning author. They aren't 'air head' reads they have a lot of depth to them and pretty front covers which look lovely on the book shelf!

Enjoy, Katie. X
