Just a little morning thought - East of India

Yesterday was my best friends birthday and I got her a little porcelain heart from east of India which says 'friends are like stars you don't have to see them to know they are there'
East of India was started in England by John Ayris and Anne Spratling in 1991. On a trip through Asia in the early nineties they met a talented man who had a beautiful wooden pig for sale, hand carved from a tree he had grown himself. They bought the pig and several other pieces and took them home as gifts for friends and family. The gifts were so well received and demand for them so great, they decided to start their own business introducing these beautiful handmade goods to the UK — and East of India was born. A small range of products was developed and their first consignment was brought to the UK and distributed to local shops, many of whom are still their customers.

There's something special and different about each one because everyone is handmade so each one is unique! They are simple and pretty!

My mum has load of little bits all round my home and I love them! They have to be my most favourite decoration brand and I really recommend them for yourself or sweet little gifts for friends and family.

Here are a few examples of some really sweet keepsakes they do:

Well I hope you enjoyed the little trip into my thoughts for this morning,

love Katie. X
